How Redwoods is Different
What if every dollar your client spent, even on its insurance coverage, was aligned with its mission?
The Redwoods Group operates an unconventional business model—one that is designed to use the power of insurance to serve the mission of YMCAs, Jewish Organizations, Boys & Girls Clubs and non-profit camps. In fact, we are the only mission-aligned insurance carrier for these great community- and character-building entities.
What kind of community could we build together?
Helping You Focus on Prevention
Our customers all share key common elements: a mission to grow strong communities, and programs that serve children and families. When you’re at your best, you are strengthening communities. As a mission-aligned carrier, we’re after the same goal.
Our Safety Consultants
As a customer, you’ll be paired with a credentialed Redwoods Risk Consultant who knows your world. They will work with you to help develop safety procedures and protocols, assist in implementation, and review cases after a crisis. They’ll provide perspective and speak truth, even when it’s hard. And they’ll always be an advocate for and a supporter of your mission.
The Redwoods Institute
As a Redwoods customer, we provide you with online training courses on topics such as child sexual abuse prevention, aquatic safety and bloodborne pathogens. Your staff can take unlimited courses at no additional cost. And you can run reports to see who completed the training. We also offer in-person training for large groups and multi-organization groups. Please contact your risk consultant to discuss.
Our Site Assessments
Your Redwoods Risk Consultant will visit your facility annually to conduct site assessments that help evaluate your protocols and practices, and address any gaps between the two. And we also provide Self-Audit tools, so you can do your own site assessment.
Our Crisis Response
When the unthinkable happens, our best folks are available 24/7 to help you through the worst events. We’ll help you respond to your stakeholders and your community. We’ll be by your side rapidly to provide experienced counsel. We’ll also help you prepare and practice for crisis in advance.
Safety Resources for All
In our role, we receive more than 40,000 incident reports each year from customers just like you. We collect a lot of insights from this data. And we share those insights with you and your staff to help improve safety in your organization. We then use these insights to create resources and guidance. We have an extensive library of risk management guidance, forms and templates, and we offer webinars, videos, and more.
