2019 State of Aquatics Broadcast
During our 2019 State of Aquatics broadcast, you will hear about three identified trends from our 2018 aquatic investigations. Tonya Roy, Chief Consulting Officer at Redwoods, and Michael Oostman, Founder of Oostman Aquatic Safety Consulting, will discuss these trends.
You will also hear from pool operators who share strategies and solutions that they have found successful at their pools. We hope you find these innovative solutions helpful, and please reach out to any of the panelists for more information:

Valley of the Sun YMCA encourages their community members to be a part of their Water Watchers Program. Water Watchers commit to keeping kids in and around the water safe by actively watching children in the pool, and responding in the case of an emergency. Learn more about this program and brainstorm how you can implement a similar program at your organization.
Joey Rusnak with Lifeguard Authority shared how to use QR codes when training staff. Watch his instructional video to hear more about this idea and how you can create them yourself.
We have created a document reviewing the three trends that we identified from our 2018 aquatic investigations. In this document, you will find questions to ask yourself regarding aquatic safety within your organization.
