The initial camper introduction is a critical time for counselors to set the tone for the rest of camp. It provides an opportunity for campers to learn the role that their counselor plays in keeping them safe. Two of our consultants sat down to discuss the importance of these introductions and the key components to cover.
After your staff watches this video, we encourage you to break them into pairs or small groups and practice what their counselor introduction is going to be this summer. Encourage them to really focus on the safety aspect of these introductions and apply their learnings from this video.
